About Me
I am software developer and administrator. As a software developer i concentrate on object oriented development using Sun Java, but I am also programming in PHP and Perl. As an administrator I manage Linux and Windows servers. Due the fact I know both worlds I am able to see the consequences of my actions upfront.
I work as Java developer for the Inter Fonds AG (based in Munich, Germany). There I contribute to their fonds trading and banking platform. I do work as freelancer too.
I gained interest in computer science in early nineties, when I was given a C64 home computer. Unfortunally I was always low on budget and not able to pimp that box. Therefore I eventually came to programming, indeed on very naive level. Since then I extend my knowledge permanently.
Since 2002 I was able to realise a lot of projects as a freelancer. I also commit to open source and other non-commercial projects.
In February 2005 I started a distance learning course to prepare myself for the high school diploma exams. After I pass I want to study computer sciences at university.
During my little spare time I care for my bunnies, read books or watch some movies in cinema or from DVD.
I hope I was able to give you a little insight into my life. You will find more detailed information in the subsections on this website or by contacting me.
Yours, Christian Kalkhoff
